I really think people go overboard on what's dangerous for dogs......or other pets for that matter!
Then, of course, if one person mentions something ---everyone else is off and running and spreading that information.
Anyway - I have used a Swifter mop for years during which time I have had three dogs, two cats, and a bird. All of which had no problems ever from my Swifter mop. In fact, my keeping the floor clean ---probably added years to their lives.
If you're talking about the mop that has the added cleaner in a container...if you continue to be worried about it....you can replace that cleaner with anything else you like....even water!!!!!
But - I wouldn't worry!
