Two of mine have this. I went to the vet for other issues and forgot to ask about this. We're due back in in two weeks so I'll see then.

I do know this is not flea related. Under magnification, the dark dots are like long blackheads (looks more like a splinter), like a greasy substance in the skin pores. The larger, lighter brown spots I think are a bacterial skin infection. I think both things are coming from some kind of mite, not sarcoptic or demodectic mange, but something different.

I applied Coconut oil to their tummies and the next day 95% of it cleared up. I'll be watching to see what your vet finds. I've looked all over the internet and can't find anything that exactly matches this.
