Milly was spayed this morning, she recovered well and we brought her home around 2.30pm. She wouldn't sleep in her bed and was whimpering slightly (the vet told me small dogs tend to whimper after being spayed/neutered) so she slept on my chest for about 4 hours. She woke up around 7 and did two loose poos within about 45minutes of waking up. She has always had a super sensitive tummy and the only food she can keep down is Hills I/D wet food. She had a little bit of food when she came home and as she woke up around 7pm. Is this normal that she had loose stools? Is this because of the pain relief and antibiotics? has this happened to any of you? Also how long did it take for the wound to heal? It's heartbreaking to see her in any discomfort...
She has just gone into her bed and napping now. I am thinking of calling the vet in the morning tomorrow, she has a post op check on friday.
