Thank you for your quick response. After reading your reply I checked my current bag of TOTW food looking for a reference to Diamond. There was none. I looked up Schell & Kampeter and found out that it was dba as Diamond Pet Food Company. To me, an owner of beloved show animals it is very distressing- whether intended or not it leads me to believe that Schell & Kampeter doesn't want the Diamond name associated with it's Taste of the Wild product line.
I belong to a Yorkie forum where we discuss dog foods extensively. I have always shouted praises of TOTW - and then there was the recall - and now I find out after over three years of feeding this product that it is a "Diamond Dog Food" product.
I want the best dog food for my dogs. I thought I had found it. I quit feeding Canidae when I discovered the product had been purchased by Diamond and started feeding TOTW.
I would like very much for this email to be forwarded to the President, CEO, Customer Service Manager, and all other top officials of Schell & Kampeter. I am not the only one who is concerned and disappointed "finding out" that TOTW is nothing more that yet another Diamond Dog Food product with safety recalls.

I really like the response that you sent back to them...it can sure be frustrating to find things out like that.
I remember several, several months ago when I was looking into a new dog food, TOTW really appealed to me. The ingredients looked excellent and as silly as it sounds, the themes of the different ecosystems with the different protein sources also appealed to me. The more research I did, the more I realized the importance of finding not just a good formula but a good, trustworthy company as well. It is so frustrating to be misled like that about about certain company associations when you're already doing so much research and looking out for your pets' health.
I'm interested to see if they will reply to this email.....
