It's really not
that miserable... I mean, it's not comparable to them getting heartworm or something like that. It's equivalent to us having a cold. I'm PRETTY sure there is no such thing as a vaccine for humans to protect against a common cold... our bodies just fight it off, with a little help from some OTC medicine... but yeah it's not that miserable. I do understand why some get it... especially if a dog is at doggie daycare and places like that. To me, it's just not necessary anymore. He is not boarded, or go to daycare, and he gets groomed by a mobile groomer.
