It is widescreen. 16:9 ratio. All HD TV's now are widescreen as far as I know. It's way wider than tall. But now I want longer still - however long the 90" is! You can make the picture a standard 4:3 ratio if one wants but I don't know any that do. It's crystal clear, even up close. I have a Mitsubishi.
