During Gracie's first year, and especially on cooler days, she would always want to be on my lap if I sat down and would even curl up around a cat if no laps were available. I finally decided she was cold. Now she wears sweater dresses during the day and pajamas at night (socks when the floors are cold) if we are not in the tropical zone degree wise. They are lap dogs but sometimes they cannot get as warm as they would like due to the fact that they have no undercoat.
They may have long hair but do not have the insulation that other dogs have.
