She also walks for a ways, then just stops and lays down, I have to pull her then release when she starts walking again. Sometimes I can't keep up with her she puts it in overdrive and just wants
to run, I'm going to get her a treadwheel, she needs to run run run, and I'm
not a runner. She's only 6 months old, and I swear the terrible twos thought has gone through my mind alot recently. | I feel your pain. I live out in a wooded area that just crawls with wildlife at night especially. So when I walk Gracie she is always smelling all the scents that other animals have left. It used to be she just wanted to walk as fast as possible but now it seems she has turned into a hound dog that wants to smell everything! I always look to see if there is anything where her nose is but sometimes she starts to roll and that is where I draw the line. She gets a 30 second sniff and then I move her on before something more serious (like rolling) starts to happen. I'd never get away with a treadmill because she looks forward to her walks and even knows when I usually take her. If I'm not on time she "reminds" me. |
