omg, my Emy does the same thing, only in my case, she whines at the
door, cause she wants to go out and looks up at her leash/harnesses that
are hanging at the door,and when I go to put the harness on her, she
runs from me, its so frustrating...so I just sit on the floor with the harness
between my legs and wait, she goes and grabs a toy and runs close by me
with it and when I try to reach to get her she runs and dodges me..LOL..so
I will say 'ok we won't go out then' and I'll sit at the kitchen table, then she
goes to the door again, and I'll sit on the floor with her harness between my
legs and just wait till she decides to come to me close enough and not try to
dodge me...I've tried treats, but she comes close enough to take the treat and then runs away...shes figured that out, so I don't give her a treat anymore to put her harness on...anyone with any suggestions ...she loves to
go out, but likes to play that chase me to get harness on game also.. |
