This is exactly how I "used" to do it, except My Male got to where he would reject a Heartguard Tablet anyway, but was ok with the Flea Tablet. My Female would take either anytime.
This is such a hassle, I stopped the Heartguard and am going to try the Trifexis. (ie: kill two birds with one pill...maybe)
