Rosie has the long coat. I bath her weekly and brush her at least twice a day. I highly recommend PEK conditioner too. I also use a detangler on her. Yorkie Sheen is the one I use. A good brush is a must! I really like the Madan brush sold by Jenny at toplinepets.com. Brushing is very important with the longer coat in my opinion. It is a lot of work but so worth it!!
