We had the same toybox and Izzy did the same thing to it
I now just use a small plastic basket for their toys. I have weeded out a lot of them that they didn't play with and gave them to a friend that has a new puppy, so they only have about 20 toys now. I rubbed some cheap men's deodorant on the edges of the basket to keep Iz from chewing on it, as she destroyed the last one too
At least they're only a dollar
Now she gets Himalayan chews so she leaves other things alone, thank goodness.
