I have microchipped many cats and dogs, without anesthesia. We pinch the excess skin between the shoulder blades, push it in to create a pocket, then the needle is pushed in under the skin. The first time I did it, I was scared to hurt the animal. 9/10 times they dont even make a yelp. It's very quick. The furbutts usually go right back to walking around and playing. |
