Maybe, maybe not, but it would probably be good to adopt a female similar in age and temperment so that they'll be more likely to get along. This is where a rescue could be invaluable as a place to start looking, as the really reputable ones study the foster dogs' temperments and they can help you find one that would be most likely to get along with your little man.
