It could be... but not so much that your present Yorkie will be a problem, but that the Yorkie you choose -- no matter how carefully -- may have a drastically different temperment. My adopted Marley is so mild, so loving, such a sweet dog; I decided to get another... Marley was, by the Vet's estimate, about two years old. I found a 15 month old male from a breeder, and brought the little 4.5 pound fluff ball home. He turned the house upside down! Demanded all the attention... barked at everything... chased the cats... pounced and chewed on my darling Marley until I sought to give him away... thank goodness I didn't get it done... a year later, Marley has learned to hold his own, and little Maxie has wormed his way into my heart. But make no mistake about it... you will not be able to predict the outcome, and you may, in the interim, make your first baby miserable. Seven years as an only is a long time...
