When I got my fur-babies from the breeder, they were eating purina kibble and Little Ceasar wet. I switched mine to Wellness Small Breed puppy formula. The bites are the perfect size. I put the food down and they went straight to it. I tried to mix the Purina with the Wellness for a gradual transition, but they picked out the Wellness and left the rest.

When it was time to graduate to adult food, they were not impressed with the Wellness Small Breed adult mix. They have been on Royal Canin Yorkshire Terrier for the past 8 months and love it.

They each about 1/4 cup of dry food each per day. Sometimes I put one or two table spoons of hot water on the kibble - they love that too.

You can get a 10 pound bag of it from Amazon.com for about $45.00 (free shipping). I am fortunate to have access to several pet stores. A 12 pound bag of Wellness Small Breed is about $32.00 (free shipping).

You may have to try several to find the one that is best for your pup, but once you do, there are several on-line places you will be able to purchase.

Yorkies are famously stubborn, so you will end up buying the food that your dog will eat.
