I don't know if the AKC also requires certain minimum record keeping from breeders in the US selling AKC registered dogs. For those of you not very happy with any breeder you have purchased from and are doubtful about the record keeping of the breeder, you could write a letter contacting the AKC. I am sure the more letters they recieve the more likely they will review the breeder. As I understand it, AKC also has the right to inspect the premises and dogs etc and the breeder must pass inspection to continue breeding and selling via AKC.
Just a thought anyway. | |
