As has been stated the breeder is doing the right thing. I would ask the breeder what was the cause of the diarrhea. Like was the pup checked for Giardia? Probiotics are fine when diarrhea is caused by a diet change but if they have another issue it needs to be checked out. You sure don't want to bring home a sick pup. Some Yorkies are notorious for being picky eaters even though they are healthy. You would not want to be faced with a sick homesick puppy that won't eat.

I would be disappointed, too, though. I can imagine how the kids feel. Just tell them they would not want to be cleaning up diarrhea all over the place! It might give them a more visual understand of the problem!
