Be sure to use "real" lavender oil, if you use it. It should not be taken internally. It can be mixed with a "carrier oil" such as almond oil. As with all essential oils, the tiniest bit would be what I'd use...it is very potent. It may work...it is known to have a calming effect...not sure how it would work with Yorkies for calming. I use it for lots of reasons, sunburn, being the main one, insect bites, etc., but have only recently learned to 'appreciate' the scent although it is a main ingredient in aroma therapy and as a massage oil mixed in a carrier. lol
