The only thing I can say on the ruffler is go slow until you get the hang of it. The presser foot doesnt go down tight on the teeth, so my material wanted to pull a little, and with it being a rather large attachment, its hard to see your seam marks on your plate. And it jerks when the ruffler kicks the material under to ruffle it. |
To make cording/piping,use the zipper foot (it used to be called a cording foot). Move your needle off center towards the cord. The trick is to hold the fabric tight around the cord while you sew.
