It helps that his daughter and I don't exactly adore each other. We more or less tolerate each other out of respect for her father. I learned a long time ago when it comes to raising kids, if they don't have your genes, keep your opinion to yourself. Stepping in between a parent and their child is a recipe for war.

I'm one of those weird parents that thinks a child should be respectful to adults, use manners, be gracious and thankful and use their money for stuff they want instead of asking parents to foot the bill. She's one that expects Daddy to give it to her so she can spend her money on whatever she wants.

In any case, I could have gone without issue but partying in Vegas with a bunch of 20 something year olds isn't a good idea for me. I don't recover from hangovers like I used to!
