If you decide it's really a yeast infection, try switching them to a grain-free, potato-free diet. Also give them acidophilus 1 or 2 times a day. Give them baths 1 or 2 times a week with medicated shampoo and rinse them with 1 cup of vinegar mixed with 1 gallon of water. I put a few drops of lavender and a few drops of tea tree essential oils in it. Don't get it in their eyes, and towell dry. You can use the rinse 1 or 2 times a day if they are real itchy. It's amazing how it clears up the yeast, and the hair grows in beautiful.
If you just give them meds, you are treating the symptoms - not eliminating the problem. |
