Belle was in heat for 6 weeks last year. She was spotting on and off the whole time. We did have her spayed while she was still in heat as it seemed to be never ending and she was miserable. My vet said that her uterus was very swollen and vascular, the surgery took longer than a routine spay, but she did just fine. I hope everything goes well for your little girl.
