1 lb hamburger
1 egg
1/2-1 package of lipton onion soup mix
7-8 saltines (crumbled)
1/2 cup ketchup
salt and pepper.
mix everything together, put in 8x8 pan and cook for 1 hour on 350
you can double the recipe and put in 13x9 pan
pull it out and put glaze on it, put it back in oven for about 5-10 min

glaze
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup brown sugar
if you're doing a bigger batch, just add a little extra of each

Yes, I know this thread is old but I was trying to put together a meatloaf for tomorrow night and I realized that I took my recipe to work to add to a cookbook the family is making and I forgot to bring it home. It's this one. I knew I had gotten it on here so I came to search for it. Only thing I couldn't remember was how much ketchup was in it. I just gotta say, this is the easiest and tastiest meatloaf I think I've ever had. My family loves it! I don't use the glaze though. And I do double it. Super, super easy...... I highly recommend! I see that the original poster is "banned" but wanted to give my 2 cents in case anyone wanted to try it. And I think it may be mentioned somewhere in this post but I wanted to share that if you put two pieces of bread under your uncooked meatloaf before you bake it, most of the grease will get soaked up by it. Great idea.
