Well I can honestly say, I have one on a special Hill's Rx Diet and she is doing very good on it. I also had another that had be on Hill's RX Diet for any years before she passed away. I know these RX Hill's Food have very much helped my babies. While I am not fond of some of the Ingredients, I refuse to change as my one is doing very good on it.
Also Science Diet does have out a newer Regular Non RX Food that is called Ideal Balance and it looks good.
