We never go anywhere near their ears...too chicken. They do get their inner ear hair plucked by our vet-tech at the vet's office once every 6 months; they don't even flinch.

Sprout is 13 years old and we've had him since he was 3 months - he's never had a problem.

Bella is a year old and she doesn't have any issues either.

However, I do place cotton balls in their ears before bathtime and remove them after they've been dried.
