No, I wouldn't do an extra surgery just for dew claw removal. See how he does with them. If he doesn't have any problems then fine. If he ever does need a dental or some other minor surgery you might consider it if he has problems with them. If you have a groomer or someone else clip his nails make sure you remind them of the dew claws so they don't get missed. If left unclipped they can grow right around and into a circle or into the paw.
