My Yorkie .Miss Abagail, is only 13 weeks old.She has had a time of it.She has been to the Vet every week I have had her.She has intestinal paresites and tape worms.She had bloody diareaha so house trainning has been difficult.She is better now.I considered buying stock in paper towels and cleaning chiminicals I bought so much of them LOL. I fastened her up in the bath room at night and always got up to a mess. I bought her a crate and put it beside my bed.(I put one of my old shoes in it because I had noticed she would lay down to nap during the day next to my feet or shoes.It has worked great.no more mess in the morning. A couple of times around 5am she whinned and I got her upand let her out. She went straight to her pad and relieved herself.I read the same thing you did about not being able to hold it long but she proved them wrong.She sleeps all night with her head on my shoe in her crate.The crate was well worth the money.Good luck
