I am so sorry your little Captain Jack is missing
. It is so true though...about them being wanderers. I grew up in Alabama and we lived in the middle of nowhere...I mean NOWHERE. I was used to our animals being gone for several days at a time. Sure, there was always concern after a few days, but they would always come home. Once my cat stayed gone for a week and a half and just came running in the house one day when we opened the door. A time after that, a new dog in the area spooked her and she didn't come back for a week. Just don't give up hope. Cats are pretty good with a natural instinct to protect and provide for themselves whether they're house cats or not. I'll be praying that Cap. Jack comes back home.
