I wonder if she could be experiencing hypoglycemia? Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) blocks the appetite even though food is the very thing that will cure it. You can give Nutri-cal, nutria- drops or even plain white Kara syrup; they are all corn syrup which is sugar that reaches the blood stream fast. You should always feed a protein within 20 of giving them this. Hypoglycemia isn’t usually a problem once a dog reaches 4 pounds, but certain conditions can cause hypoglycemia, like infections. Another option is to sprinkle something on the food like parmesan cheese to entice her to ear. Will she eat anything, how about a little boiled chicken? I wonder if something like Pepcid would help her, you could ask the vet about it. I have to feed my little Ralphie 4 times a day, even during the middle of the night because he has a rumbling tummy, but he's always hungry, so there's no problem there. Hope you find a solution and Tia feels better soon.
