My girl had very drippy eyes when I first got her. Not just damp but actually looked like she had been crying all the time. My vet said it is common for little dogs (she was 1 lb 8 oz when I got her and only 6 weeks old) to have tear duct issues and it would probably resolve itself in time. About a month later we noticed that her eyes were not drippy anymore. She still gets gunky but her fur is not wet from it like when she was little.
