I used diapers with my puppy when she was still small. It's a mess and none of the design work perfectly, but it did teach my little girl not to potty in the bed. She slept in my bed from the beginning (all my dogs do) and she peed on the bed during the night. Not impressed, I used the diapers to teach her to control herself in bed. She only went in them once or twice before she got the picture.
