Do you think it's possible that she had a liver shunt if her number was only slightly raised but over the normal limit? Is it possible with her numbers being so close to normal that she could have had enough toxins in her system to cause a seizure like that?

Our first thought when we found her and on the way to the vet was that she had gotten into something but the vet said her blood numbers didn't look as though it could have been poison of any kind.
You're right, probably not LS. The only other conditions I know of would be AAI, or Chiari, which cause too much Cerebral Spinal Fluid in the brain, which then causes pressure on the nerves going to the brain. Unexplained crying or occassional yelping is sometimes common. These conditions can result in respiratory failure, seizures, coma and death, depending on which nerves the swelling affects. Some signs are an odd gait, odd or uncomfortable in a normal head down position for eating or drinking. Symptoms are usually brought on by some activity like jumping off a couch or chair, jumping over things while playing, trouble going up stairs, or just something as simple as turning the head. Not all these symptoms are always present. Also these conditions are diagnosed by MRI, sometimes by Xray.
