I am facing the same issue except I will be gone for a lot longer than a few days. Kimberly King, a wonderful member here, has suggested and helping me to get a foster mom for my baby and I am still working on that - thanks again Kimberly.
Check out the craigslists.org and click on your location - city. Then type in pet sitting on the "search craiglist" box. Hopefully you would find someone who can babysit at their house while you are gone. I think it would be better than leaving them alone at home most of the time. Good luck.
