I would *KNOW* what day my dog went missing and as a responsible dog owner, would call the humane society, and local vets FIRST thing... They had not received a single call. I went back to the dog park several times asking people if they knew anyone missing a dog, that's how *I* found the owner, they did not find me. And the comment that was made to me on the phone was "I have another little dog that is missing her terribly" not "I've been worried sick about my dog"... Nonetheless, it's not my dog, it wouldn't be right to not make an effort to keep the dog, if I'm contacted by the humane society that she is available, I will by all means adopt the sweet baby...... I would guess that the HS is run by volunteers, some working more than others, so the lady I spoke with initially may not have recognized the dog or known much about her. Regardless I would try to find the owner.
BUT.....
We found a puppy this evening, it was a perfect opportunity, she's so sweet, not a yorkie, but super cute and a lovely new addition to our family! =) |
