I would suggest that if you don't already have a mentor that can come and assist you during the whelp, that you find one quickly. Reading books and videos alone is not enough to prepare you. (Think about it, would you let a doctor who'd ONLY read books and videos perform surgery on you?)
That really is the best advice I can give you--make sure you have someone on call who can be there with your when your girl delivers. Odds are that everything will go smoothly, but it's best to be prepared in case it doesn't. |
