Sorry you are diabetic, me too

It does take some getting used to. Splenda is my best friend, sugar alchols not so much. I go to the bathroom too much and it's terrible LOL I feel for you! I do love the Blue Bunny Sweet Freedom sugar free ice cream sometimes, but if you read the label there is just about the same amount of carbs in that as there is in regular ice cream. So I eat the regular stuff too, just small portions.
I was on Metformin (same as Glucophage) and was constantly nauseous. Then I had my doc switch me to the extended release and that was much better. Then it stopped working for me at the max dose so now I'm on Janumet and so far it's been wonderful! Ieven get "lows" soI have to watch my sugar and make sure that I eat. It's all a balanciong act. There is a terrific group that I joined when I first got diagnosed, they really helped me with the practical matters of dealing with diabetes.
Whoops! Browser Settings Incompatible Super nice people with lots of experience!
Anyway, you will figure it all out. I do best on a lower carb diet, but i do eat whole grain things and sometimes a little piece of cake or whatever. Exercise is super important, it will help your body burn up any excess sugar, and you'll be able to eat pretty much anything in moderation
Good luck and stay away from the poopie making foods LOL
