I guess it all depends on the dog because we have a great big toad that appears in our back yard after every rain shower he has almost become an icky pet, anyway, all of the dogs and even our cats ignore him. The first couple of times we found him in the yard I was sure that Bella would insist on messing with him because she messes with everything, but she sniffed once and walked on. When the cats didn't even bother it, I was floored.
