My husband found this out the hard way. He thought he would get some sugar free jelly beans. He was trying to lose weight (I am the one with diabetes). Problem was he ate the whole bag at one time. Not a big bag, but the whole none the less. He stayed in the bathroom most of that night. To this day (it happened last year) he will not touch sugar free candy.
I was told i could eat most of anything, just in very small portions. If i want a piece of cake, I have a sliver instead of a big piece. That way i fill the craving. Same with ice cream, etc. I happen to like Blue Bunny sugar free ice cream found at walmart. All so fudgesicles that are no sugar added taste just like the regular ones.
