Do you have a doggy book to show you maybe some of the ways to teach tricks? My puppy class lead when Callie was a puppy was great and showing how to get the dog to do the tricks you wanted them too. I can not remember how she said to do it but I think it was to tickle the elbow/rub around the elbow and then they will lift there paw.
