Hi, looking for a new pups to join our family. As long-time lurkers, we wanted to hear from YT on breeder suggestions in the Dallas area. My wife wants a female this time.
Budget is $1000, otherwise could have selected several $2000+ rather easily it seems. I feel that is that reasonable or should I skip a mortgage payment?...just kidding...mostly.
We realize is still early in process, am learning more than we imagined and will remain patient. We have spoken with a few 'sellers' I am sure and now breeders, though haven't found the right mix just yet. I am feeling like on a car lot now (plus adjusting to sticker shock) and am a bit overwhelmed by the YT criteria to find a 'good' dog, thus breeder.
A little history/TMI - we had to put our Yorkie down early this year and are ready. Reveille was with us for 8 great yrs and was my wife's 2nd Yorkie (my first). Admittedly, she surprisingly

showed up with him after a flea market visit (I know, I know) and he quickly became a part of our family...I don't care if we spend $1 or $5000, no dog will replace him. Though worked out well, don't want to support the mills or cons. Sure it isn't as 'bad' as it appears, but obviously is a low cost/easy way for them to make $ on an emotional purchase.
