My dearest Bubba passed away June 16, 2012. It has taken me 2 1/2 months to come here. My grief has been tremendous. My darling boy was far too young to die at just 10 1/2 years of age. What a beautiful boy. He was the best dog - just a lover and so incredibly easy. His death was so unexpected and sudden. I have been blaming myself since he got sick, and in the months since I had to let him go. I still feel like I am living a sick nightmare, and that I should wake up and have my sweet boy.
Bubba was never suppose to be just a house pet, rather he was to be a show dog. Bubba's original owner talked the show breeder into selling her Bubba. But this gal, who also bought Roxy a few weeks later, decided she could not keep the Yorkies when they were 2 and they came to live with me. We had more than 8 years together. I thought we would have many more.
Bubba was a low key boy, he loved lounging around versus being outside all the time like Roxy. His lounging may have also kept me from realizing he wasn't feeling well right away. One day he didn't want to eat, that's when I realized he didn't feel well.
By the time we went to the vet he was in liver failure. It just got worse from there. He ended up at the emergency vet for several days they did everything to try to save him, including plasma transfusions. I spent thousands of dollars and nothing made a difference. I would've spent thousands more if it would have allowed me to bring a healthy boy home.
As you can see by my post count, we used to spend a lot of time here, taking part in daily posts, starting threads that are still going, taking part in gift exchanges, donating, the YorkieTalk cook book & the first couple of YorkieTalk International Meetups. Bubba drove a lot of my love for YorkieTalk.
I love you Bubba, you are truly an angel and I pray one day we will be together again.
