Definitely neuter, the number one cause of death in unneutered dogs is death from injuries due to car accidents, and a Yorkie is much of a match for a car. Unneutered males are much more likely to run away than neutered males and can smell a bitch in heat over ten miles away. This makes them agitated and they will take any opportunity they can to try and find her. I believe now is a good time to neuter, before marking is firmly established. Also, most Yorkies have to have some of their baby teeth removed and at 7-8 months most dogs have enough adult teeth so that baby teeth can be removed. This has to be done under anesthesia, so it’s best to do it while they are being neutered. Joey humped some of his toys until about a month after his neuter, the humping isn’t a bad thing, it can help the testicles to drop.
