It's only paranoid if your fears have no basis in reality. You should be fearful. Good breeders do not breed dogs under 5 pounds and most say 6 is there limit. Just because your girl is small, it doesn't mean her offspring will be small, even if you mated her with a tiny dog. Good breeders study the line, you girl may have been one of the smallest in the line. You not only have to worry about her carrying the pup safely, but there are often more complications when there is only one pup, it sometimes gets to big for the mom to deliver. Also, tinies often have joint problems, and the extra weight of pregnancy can worsen their condition. I hope she makes it. I also hope if you were lucky this time, you get her fixed, pregnancy isn't that easy on a any dog, there's no reason to put her through that.
