I am considering having Callie's removed whenever she gets her first dental and shes 5 but she has gotten hers snagged and ripped off once exposing the nerve and vein and had to go to the vet a be sedated to have it cut back. I think if its a very active yorkie who as had problems snagging before or almost then I would do it but if its a not so active yorkie that mostly is in side and has not had any issues with it then I would just leave them.
