Default Kidney disease

Dear Sheila.
How I feel for you. Only you know what the test numbers for Kia are. You must have caught the disease early as you tested, and should be more able to prevent the devastation that you experienced with Sydney. So please do not feel the path for Kia will be the same.
Only too well I know the 75 percent thing. My dog was 11.5 years old and had been a little off color for a few days, so I took her to the vet thinking she just had a tummy upset. Only to find she was in acute kidney failure. In spite of heroic vet efforts she died in three days. I was devastated and could not believe she was relatively normal one day and gone the next. She did not tell me she was so sick and I felt so guilty that she was feeling so bad and I did not know or help her.
I pray that you will be able to have Kia with you for a long time.
Love and prayers.
