Actually...I just made my first pair and sent them off! I hope the recipient will like them. To be honest with you...I actually made 2. The first one did not turn out as well as I would've liked. I made a boo boo on the top and I just wasn't having it, so I started all over. But the second try went much better. I used a jammie pattern from Miss Daisy Designs. It was a little confusing at first, but I put my own tweaks on it and made it to suit my needs. It was also my first time working with knits. I had to learn about that and buy the special kind of needle used to sew knits with. It was a learning experience, but an enjoyable one. I will definitely use it again, but I also want to try other patterns too. I am looking at a Simplicity pattern now. I actually am going to make some jammies for Donna's gang with this adorable flannel fabric I found on the clearance table at Joann but I want to make sure I get them down good first so I thought I might make KS and Mollie (that's my Mom's new Maltese rescue) a few pairs first. Jammies are a lot different from dresses! LOL
And I would love to see instructions on the diaper cake!!! That would be so cool! I would love to get pregnant myself right now...you think I could make myself one or would that be against the rules? LOL.
You guys sew any today? I got 4 dresses done. I'm hoping to get 4 more and 2 harnesses done tomorrow. Then this week I've got more dresses, a few harnesses, a couple tutu's, a pantsuit, and a carrier planned. Then hopefully this weekend I can work on making new things for Mollie. I sent her to my Moms with several of Katie Scarlett's old things, but I want her to have new things of her own too. She is such an angel. I gotta share pix of her soon. Bless her little heart! She definitely needed rescuing! My parents have given her such a good home. She is already spoiled rotten!
