I am sorry....I am not familiar with how large a "mini Yorkie" is....do you have any experience with whelping at all? Gestation is usually 63-65 days, give or take a couple of days....your girl is 5 weeks...that is around 35 days? She is already short of breath and very large??? I would strongly suggest a vet visit...this girl, depending on how small she is to be in this predicament, may very well be in trouble and you may be looking at a c-section.....ultra sound or xray would be advised to determine the number of babies, as well as size and position in there. What was she bred to? Are you absolutely sure of the date she was bred? I will pray for you and your momma....I hope she is large enough to even carry a litter of babies...I am concerned with the shortness of breath at this early stage. When you had her health tested prior to breeding her, she did not have any abnormal lab values that would indicate any heart issues or liver issues or kidney issues, I trust. How old is she?
