Breeders that don't like having their names out there have something to hide, trust me on that one. Breeders who are proud of their dogs, proud of their accomplishments and pedigrees and their own champions shown and finished in the show rings certainly have no trouble saying who they are. From my pedigrees on my website you can also see who I am friends with and who has trusted me with their lines.

Lorraine you are so so correct in this post, and it transfers across all purebred dogs!. Of course in my opinion....

We breed to improve the breed, or at the minimum to maintain their stirling qualities. I don't give a whinney about what the "public" thinks I should breed to. I breed to my CKC standard, and yes you betcha I want to improve my breed.

Truly I think someday that informed folks will get the "fact" that owning a well bred pure-bred dog is a true priviledge. That it comes with responsibilities, not only of financial ones; ie good vet care, food, exercise, but of training, of developing their little puppy to be all that they can be.

Very large, and very small, all have challenges that expand over health, training, and protective actions needed by the owner to be taken.
