Most vets wouldn't remove dew claws for cosmetic purpose. Molly will be having hers done when she is spayed but that is because she has rear dew claws which are really large and have occasionally locked together "ouch!". But the front ones will be left alone as they don't cause her any problems. Personally I wouldn't have it done if it isn't nesscery as I believe it envoles the whole toe being removed.
